This office primarily supervises cases sentenced in the State Court of Coweta County for misdemeanor traffic and criminal offenses. In addition to the State Court, this office supervises misdemeanor cases sentenced in the Superior Court of Coweta County as well as deposit account fraud, bad checks, sentenced in the Magistrate Court of Coweta County.

Each officer is certified by the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training as a Probation Officer. They have arrest powers and are certified to carry firearms. They must maintain their certification through annual training as required by law.

Grievance Policy 

Community Service

Many cases are ordered to do community service as a special condition of their probation. The range of community service hours is 16 to 240 per offense. The officers vigorously enforce community service attendance, which benefits the county’s building maintenance program, roadside litter control, solid waste operations, and other court approved projects.

Community Service Hours
Monday through Friday – 7:45 am – 5:00 pm. If you are planning to work community service Monday through Friday, you must be at our office no later than 7:45 am. Proper dress is required and a list is posted in our office. If you have any questions please call your officer.

Saturday – 7:45 am – 5:00 pm. If you are planning to work community service on Saturday, you must report to the Newnan Adult Probation office located at 51B Perry Street no later than 7:45 am. Proper dress is required and a list is posted in our office. If you have any questions please call your officer.

Sunday – No community service

Probation Fees

Probation supervision fee- $40.00 per month as ordered. 

In office payments may be made by money order, certified cashier's check, or debit/credit card. Note: cardholder must be present and show valid ID. You can also online
