Both applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Non-Georgia residents being married in Coweta County and Georgia residents. Both applicants must appear in person to apply.

8 am - 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.

What to Bring:
Proper ID : Driver's License OR Passport OR Birth Certificate
Final Divorce Decree if either party has been divorced in the last five years.
Marriage License Application - For your convenience, a Microsoft Word or PDF format of the form is available.  Please download, print, and fill out in order to save you time at the Probate Court.

Online Application:

You may begin your application online. Just remember you are still required to appear at the Coweta County Probate Court to sign the application and provide all required documentation. Please inform the clerk that you began your application on line.

Pre marital education is an option, NOT a requirement. If a couple has had 'premarital education' as defined in Code Section 19-3-30.1 the cost of the application will be $16.00.  If a couple has not had 'premarital education', the fee will be $56.00 

To get the reduced fee, you must provide Probate Court with a signed, notarized certification (Available as Microsoft Word or PDF) by clergyman, doctor, social worker or therapist.
