About Us
The Coweta County Stormwater Management Program is responsible for maintaining compliance for the various stormwater regulations required by the Environmental Protection Agency, the Georgia Environmental Protection Division, and the Metro North Georgia Water Planning District.
All stormwater-related activities conducted throughout the county are placed in an annual report to be submitted to the Georgia Environmental Protection Division in support of the NPDES Phase II, MS4 permit. A separate annual report as well as an audit file is also submitted to the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District, a sub-section of the Atlanta Regional Commission.
The following are components of the Stormwater Management Program:
- Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination (IDDE)
- Water Quality Monitoring
- Stormwater Facility Inspections
- Erosion and Sedimentation Control
- Public Education and Outreach
- Good Housekeeping and Municipal Operations
