Coweta Connect, Coweta County's transit program, provides transportation services to business, commercial and activity centers in Coweta County and is funded with federal, state and local dollars. Schedule a trip by calling 770-683-RIDE (7433) by 12 Noon for next day service, dependent upon availability. Trips are $3.00 per one way trip, must be within Coweta County and are generally scheduled between the hours of 8 am- 5 pm. The Coweta Connect shuttle van will come to any Coweta address to pick up or drop off.

The program uses a “demand response” model, meaning there are no fixed routes, stops or pick up times. Reservations for next day service must be scheduled in advance by 12 Noon. Daily routes are generated based on destinations requested. Rides are “first come – first served” dependent upon availability. Peak times are expected to be 8-10 am and 2-5 pm and, conversely, more capacity is expected during off-peak times, 10 am – 2 pm. Service will be provided Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. 

The program is designed and available for anyone who needs transportation within Coweta County.

• Riders must be 16 years of age or older unless accompanied by an adult. 
• Abusive, disruptive and/or inappropriate behavior, language or actions toward drivers or other passengers is not permitted and will result in immediate action.   
• Transportation outside Coweta County is not available.
• Eating, drinking, and smoking are not  permitted. Food and beverages may only be carried if securely closed in  spill-proof containers.
• Music may only be played if headphones are used and  volume set low enough not to disturb other passengers.
• Any items left on board the bus will be taken to the office at the end of each day.
• Riders are only allowed to transport packages they are able to carry themselves.   Drivers are not required to assist.
• Drivers can assist passengers in getting on and off the vehicle.
• Drivers are not allowed to enter homes.
• Pets are not permitted. Service animals welcomed.

• Wheelchair-accessible service is available. When you call to schedule your trip, please let us know of any assistance you may need getting on or off the vehicle. For the safety of all passengers, our policy requires wheelchairs to be secured to the vehicle. 
• Persons using respirators or portable oxygen are permitted on vehicles. 
• Service animals accompanying individuals with disabilities are permitted. 
• Riders with disabilities may be accompanied by an attendance or companion free of charge. Additional companions will be charged the regular fare. 

• Any cancellations shall be made by 8 a.m. on the day of the scheduled trip by calling (770) 683-RIDE and leaving a message on the answering service. If two (2) cancellations are made after8 a.m. on the day of the scheduled trip during any 30-day period, or if there are more than two (2) cancellations at any time within a five (5) day period, the rider is subject to a 10-day  suspension. 

Coweta Connect will make reasonable modifications to policies, practices, or procedures when the modifications are necessary to avoid discrimination on the basis of disability or to provide program accessibility to its services, subject to the limitations of Federal Regulations 37.169(c)(1)-(3). Individuals requesting modifications to Coweta County Transit’s service shall contact the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinator at 770-254-2604 or email clee@coweta.ga.us, and describe what they need in order to use the service. Individuals requesting modifications are not required to use the term “reasonable modification” when making a request.
