Blickle U.S.A. to build new headquarters in Newnan, GA
Blickle U.S.A., which manufactures and distributes wheels and casters, has announced plans to locate its US headquarters in Coweta County.
The Coweta County Board of Commissioners has elected to sell 173 surplus properties acquired by virtue of tax deed for failure to pay taxes. The County has held some of these surplus properties for more than 10 years. It has determined that it is in the best interests of the citizens to sell the properties in a timely manner to return them to private citizens and back on the tax digest.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), will conduct a mandatory nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) on Wednesday, September 28, at 2:20 p.m. EDT to verify the delivery and broadcast, and assess the readiness for distribution of the national level test message.

Every year, children die of hyperthermia, also known as heat stroke, while unattended in vehicles. Hot cars and heat-related health risks are a threat to the more than 375,000 children in Georgia. In 2015, there were 24 heatstroke deaths of children left unattended in vehicles. Though this figure is down from 30 reported in 2014, much awareness is still needed.
