DUE TO GROWING CONCERNS OVER AN ONGOING JURY SCAM,
THE CLERK'S OFFICE WILL NOT BE POSTING CURRENT JUROR LISTS AT THIS TIME.
Please be advised that if you are told by someone that you missed a service date and that some further action has been taken against you, the information should be verified with the Clerk's Office  at 770-254-2691.

FOR CONTACT INFORMATION AND DIRECTIONS TO COWETA COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT AT THE COWETA COUNTY JUSTICE CENTER, VISIT OUR GENERAL INFORMATION PAGE. FOR UPDATES ON CHANGES TO REPORTING DATES AND TIMES, PLEASE VISIT OUR NOTEWORTHY PAGE OR CONTACT THE JUROR RECORDED MESSAGE LINE AT 770-683-0198.

Jury service is a civic duty, required by law. The goal of the jury staff is to summon qualified jurors made up of a fair cross section of the community to constitute a legal jury for the civil and criminal courts of Coweta County. Jurors will receive compensation for services and expenses at the rate of $50.00 per day as required by law O.C.G.A. § 15-12-7(2) and 34-1-3(A). You will be provided a work excuse for your employer.

Jury Summons have changed.  Please follow the instructions on the summons carefully.  If you report for service on a date that you are not called for, you will not receive payment.

Georgia Law requires all persons summoned for jury duty to appear for service, provided that they are 18 years of age or more, a citizen of the United States and a resident of Coweta County.  Any person who has been convicted of a felony can serve provided their rights have been restored.  If you are in doubt as to whether your rights have been restored, you should contact the Pardons and Parole Office in the state in which you were convicted.

We realize jury service may be an inconvenience for you and your employer. However, employment is NOT a legal excuse from jury duty as per code section O.C.G.A. 34-1-3(a).

Legal excuses for deferment or permanent removal are linked below.
