VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE APPROACHES FOR MAY 22 ELECTION

April 24 – last day to register to be able to vote in May 22, 2018, election

April 30 – first day of Early Voting – Two (2) Early Voting Locations:  Voter Registration Office, 22 East Broad Street, and East Side Advance Voting Site, 65 Literary Lane. Early voting hours/days:

                                Monday – Friday --- April 30 through May 18 – 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

                                Saturday – May 5 and 12, 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Mail out ballots are available by sending an Application for an Absentee Ballot to the Voter Registration Office.  All requests for Absentee Ballots must be received no later than 3:30 p.m. on May 18, 2018.  Completed ballots must be received by the Voter Registration Office no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.

The May 22 election includes the Democratic Primary, Republican Primary and the Nonpartisan General Election.

All nonpartisan races will be on both the Republican ballot and the Democratic ballot. 

The Nonpartisan ballot will have only the nonpartisan races, which are judicial and school board races.

There will be commission races for Commission District 2 on the Republican ballot and commission races for District 3 on both the Republican and Democratic ballots.

There will be Board of Education races in District 1 At Large, Districts 1, 3, and 4.
