Ready for Re-Entry
READY FOR RE-ENTRY
Coweta County Corrections/Prison Division graduated its first ever Re-Entry Class October 25th.
The Re-Entry Skills Building Program at the Coweta County Prison is an intensive 4-week class that equips offenders with the knowledge needed to successfully re-enter society, as well as overcome the barriers they will face upon release. Once completed, each offender that participates in the class will be provided with information and tools to successfully find gainful employment, manage finances, and set smart goals for themselves in order to make positive contributions to society. The Re-Entry class is a part of Governor Nathan Deal’s Criminal Justice Reform package.
Speakers from the Georgia Department of Labor, Georgia Department of Community Supervision, a former inmate and the US Attorney General’s office all gave of their time to instruct this class.
