Newnan, GA: The Coweta County Development Authority announced today that Amanda Fields of Newnan will serve as the organization’s new economic development manager.
In making the announcement, Development Authority Chairman Terry Daviston said, “We are delighted to have Amanda join our economic development team. She has over 10 years of economic development experience, and I know she will be a great asset to the Development Authority.”
Fields currently serves as administrative and marketing manager for the economic and community development team at Electric Cities of Georgia (ECG). Prior to joining ECG, she served for over 6 years with the Fayette County Development Authority.
Fields said, "I am excited about the opportunity to serve the community that my family and I call home and am looking forward to getting to know and working with our existing industries!"
Greg Wright, president of the Coweta County Development Authority, said, “We are very fortunate as a community to have Amanda joining the Development Authority staff. She has the experience, knowledge and energy we are looking for to help grow quality jobs in Coweta County.”
Fields will serve as the primary point of contact for Coweta’s existing industries and work with the companies to help promote their continued growth. In addition, she will be a key player in the organization’s marketing efforts.
She will begin her new role with the Development Authority on July 20th.
